Australian Open men’s final 2018

By Ben Mullins

January 28, 2018 - Roger Federer will contest his 30th Grand Slam final against Marin Cilic at the Australian Open. The Swiss master, continuing his ethereal form of 2017, is yet to drop a set in Melbourne, while Cilic aims to avenge losing to Federer in last year’s Wimbledon final and add to his 2014 U.S. Open title. The pair have met nine times before, with Federer winning eight of those meetings -- Cilic beat World No.1 Rafael Nadal and surprise semi-finalist Kyle Edmund on his way to the final, while Federer defeated Tomas Berdych and rising star Hyeon Chung.
