February 1, 2018 - February 28, 2018 - Events this month include the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, a NATO meeting in Brussels, and a visit by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi to the Palestinian Territories. The U.S. faces another government shutdown, Ireland’s Mary Lou McDonald succeeds Gerry Adams as president of Sinn Fein, and China’s first domestically built aircraft carrier conducts its first sea trials. The SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket is due to launch and China celebrates the Year of the Dog.
