MotoGP World Championship guide 2018
March 18-November 18, 2018 -- The 2018 MotoGP season, commencing with the Qatar GP in March and concluding in Valencia in November, features 12 teams and 23 riders.
The opening GP takes place at the Losail International Circuit, Qatar.
The track is 5.380 km in length, with a main straight of just over a kilometre at 1,068 metres. It has 16 turns; 6 left and 10 right.
The Safety Commission decided that at the Losail test the final hour will see riders take to an artificially wet track, so that they are better prepared in case of rain. Last year, the weather caused chaos, with Saturday cancelled altogether.
