France election poll of polls

By Duncan Mil

April 18, 2017 - April 23, 2017 - Polls show Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen clinging on to the narrowest of leads, while a late surge by rightwinger François Fillon and hard-left candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon appears to be holding.

A poll of polls by Le Journal du Dimanche show just four percentage points between the top four candidates in the French presidential race.

Opinion polls show one in three voters still undecided about who to back, with any one of these four candidates capable of making it through to the second round.

The election will begin on April 23, with the second round on May 7.
