Chilcot report on Iraq war

July 6, 2016 - Sir John Chilcot’s report into the Iraq war has concluded that Prime Minister Tony Blair agreed to go to war with U.S. President George W. Bush in July 2002 -- before the invasion of Iraq in 2003, and that the invasion was based on “flawed intelligence and assessments” that went unchallenged. to U.S. President George W. Bush before the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

In an six-page memo marked secret and personal, the British prime minister told Bush: “I will be with you whatever” and set out a plan to persuade Britain Saddam must be toppled.

Blair then set out a recipe for providing evidence against Iraq, according to the memo released as part of the inquiry.
