Premier League guide 2016-17

Graphic News

August 13, 2016-May 21, 2017 -- English Premier League football season. Responsive interactive graphic shows fixtures, live results, league table, team details and matchtrackers of every match in the Premier League. Matchtrackers show historical head-to-head statistics, tactical line-ups, live scores, with live match statistics and key events in the match automatically updated.

The front view of this graphic shows the “Latest” results - the league table plus - either the last matches played and their results or the times the next matches will be played (with a choice for the times to be as at the venue, or as at the location of the reader).

Selection of the alternative option at the top right hand corner - “Fixtures” - shows the dates of all the fixtures in the 2016-17 season.

Matchtrackers for particular matches can be selected from the fixture table, from the latest list on the front page, or from the fixtures list for a particular team (select that team in the league table). Matchtrackers show the squads for that match, the score, and either the head to head ststistics, or the live match timeline or live statistics.

Followers of a particular team can select that team on the league table to see details and statistics for each team player and for each fixture.

NOTE: This graphic can be configured to show only a particular match by adding the EventD to the embed code. Event ID (for matches to the end of May 2017) are given in the downloadable text file.

NOTE: Publishers licensed to use this graphic, may make a downloadable “web app” available to their readers. All the reader has to do on their mobile phone is bookmark the page the graphic is published on, and save the “bookmark” to the front view. The “app” icon is then visible on their mobile phone so whenever they want to see the latest results all they have to do is click on the app icon. As the app is a bookmark, this is also a convenient link back to the editorial coverage on the website. For instructions on how to make a web app:
