Kim Jong-un’s purges

By Duncan Mil

May 13, 2015 - North Korean leader Kim Jong-un executed his defence chief for falling asleep during a meeting, by putting him in front of a four-barrelled anti-aircraft gun at a firing range, South Korea's spy agency told lawmakers Wednesday.

Persons accused of serious political offences in the reclusive country are sent to forced labour camps, known as kwan-li-so, or executed, reportedly by hanging, decapitation by starving dogs, or firing squads using anti aircraft guns, mortar bombs or flamethrowers.
