January 29, 2014 - Oprah Winfrey, influential U.S. media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist, celebrates her 60th birthday. Winfrey currently holds the top spot on Forbes magazine’s annual list of the world’s most powerful celebrities, and is one of only three people to have featured on the list every year since 1999. In 2013, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama.
