Islamist terror plots in America since 911
June 21, 2013 - Jihadists have killed 20 people in the United States in five separate incidents since September 11, 2001. During this time more than 50 plots were foiled, most involving surveillance programmes or FBI stings.
Between September 11, 2001, and June 2013, there was one successful bomb plot by jihadist terrorists in the United States. Of the 494 individuals convicted of terror-related charges in U.S. courts, just 25 got their hands on explosives or materials to make a bomb -- the majority of those obtained the components from FBI informants or agents.
