Abu Bakar Bashir jailed for 15 years

June 16, 2011 - Indonesian militant cleric Abu Bakar Bashir has been jailed for 15 years for helping to plan and fund an Islamic militant training camp that aimed to attack government targets and impose an Islamic state. Bashir, 72, is widely considered the spiritual leader of Jemaah Islamiah, the jihadi group behind the 2002 Bali bombings that killed more than 200 people.
