Wembley sees history made

April 18, 1993 - For the first time ever the same teams - Arsenal and Sheffield Wednesday - will contest both major cup finals in the same season – starting with the Coca-Cola Cup at Wembley on April 18.

As a result both sides could find themselves involved in European competiton next season as winners of Coca-Cola Cup will play in next season’s UEFA Cup., and winners of FA Cup will play in Cup Winner’s Cup. But if one team wins both trophies, the third placed side in the Premier League would compete in the UEFA Cup.

Extra time will be played if needed. If the tie is still undecided the match will be replayed – venue and date to be decided – possibly at Wembley.
