Netanjyahu und Hamas Führer könnten andere ICC Flüchtige ergänzen

May 22, 2024 - Wenn der Internationale Strafgerichtshof (ICC) den Haftbefehl ausstellt, würden Israels Premierminister und Verteidigungschef sowie drei Hamas Leader auf die Liste der Kriegsverbrecher gesetzt werden, die weiterhin in Freiheit sind.

Karim Khan, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), announced on May 20 that his office had applied to a pre-trial panel for arrest warrants for three senior Hamas officials, as well as the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his defence minister, Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Hamas attack of October 7 and the ensuing seven-month-old war in Gaza.


The arrest warrants would put Netanyahu, Yoav Gallant and the heads of Hamas in a category of accused leaders that also includes Russian President Vladmir Putin, former Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir, Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony and the son of late leader Col Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, Saif al-islam Gaddafi.
