MARITIME
Rekordbrechende schwimmende Stadt
January 23, 2024 - Royal Caribbean hat die Icon of the Seas willkommen geheißen -- das größte Kreuzfahrtschiff der Welt -- sie erreichte ihren Heimathafen Miami rechtzeitig vor ihrer Abfahrt zur Jungfernfahrt am 27. Januar.
“This has been a labour of love for seven years crafting this ship, and we set out to create a family vacation unrivalled by anyone out there,” said Samantha Riepe, Vice President of Marketing at Royal Caribbean.
Icon of the Seas was officially handed over to Royal Caribbean at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland on November 27, 2023.
The 20-deck vessel has seven swimming pools with six water slides.
It has 2,805 cabins and can hold up to 5,610 guests and 2,350 crew members.
Icon of the Seas’ maiden voyage offers balcony cabins from $4,793 (€4,400) and suites at $7,121 (€8,318) per person.
The seven-night maiden voyage will sail from Miami and includes visits to St. Kitts, St. Thomas, the Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in the Bahamas, and Perfect Day at CocoCay.
