Ahead of next week’s CES tech trade show in Las Vegas, Clicks Technology has unveiled the Creator Keyboard for iPhone Pro models – a physical button keyboard/case that will thrill those who miss handsets from the days before the smartphone.

Fitting snuggly around the Apple iPhone, the case has an extended lower section housing a keyboard that will bring a nostalgia-tinged flashback to some of us that recall the halcyon days when Nokia and BlackBerry ruled the mobile phone world.

It’s not just a gimmick though. The keyboard brings benefits such as the feel of touch typing and, by moving the keyboard off the screen, the display size is vastly increased.

Another useful innovation of the device is keyboard shortcuts, with users able to use special functions such as CMD + H to navigate to the home screen, or CMD + Space to launch Spotlight search.

Clicks Creator Keyboard is available for preorder now, retailing for $139, and will begin shipping in February.
