Die Eras Tournee bringt Taylor Swift den Milliardär Status

By Ninian Carter

November 1, 2023 - Talent, harte Arbeit, intelligentes Marketing und die überaus erfolgreiche Eras Tournee haben geholfen, dass Taylor Swift in die kleine Gruppe der Milliardär Entertainer aufgenommen wurde.

Pop-country star Taylor Swift’s Eras world tour has shattered ticket sale records, generating income comparable to the gross domestic product of a small country and catapulting the singer’s net worth past $1 billion – one of the few entertainers to reach the milestone based on music and performance earnings alone.

To all intents and purposes, Swift is now a multinational conglomerate, the fortunes of which are fuelled by her prolific songwriting and canny negotiations around streaming rights.

Swift’s shrewd decision to re-record her first six albums, after she was outraged when the original master rights were sold to a private equity firm, has given her control over them once again, while simultaneously diluting the value of the originals, and triggering “Swifties” (hardcore fans) to buy them all again.

The singer’s 2023 53-date U.S. tour has added $4.3 billion to the country’s GDP, according to Bloomberg, which also calculates her personal fortune to be $1.1 billion – taking into account the estimated value of her music catalogue and five homes, and earnings from streaming deals, music sales, concert tickets and merchandise.

The Eras Tour, with tickets costing an average of $254, is set to move to Latin America, before touring the Asia-Pacific region and Europe in 2024.
