Russische Invasion: Situationsbericht Tag 443

By Phil Bainbridge

May 12, 2023 - Bericht von ukrainischen Truppen, dass sie russische Linien in Bakhmut durchbrochen hätten und 3km Gebiet rückerobern konnten, werden vom Kreml als unwahr bezeichnet.

A Ukrainian brigade commander has said the Intensity of Russian artillery attacks is in fact increasing, despite repeated claims of munition shortages by Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin. Russia would need to produce over 29 million shells per year to meet Prigozhin’s demands of 80,000 shells per day, 13 times more than Russia’s pre-invasion output.

Moscow has denied Ukrainian and U.S. claims that a Patriot missile defence system shot down one if its state-of-the-art Kinzhal hypersonic missiles on May 4. Previously, Ukrainian air defences had been unable to prevent Kinzhal attacks.

The UK has confirmed reports that it will be donating long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine.
