Google “Pixel Fold” zeigt das Fehlen von iPhone Foldables

May 11, 2023 - Mit dem Launch des Google "Pixel Fold" Smatphones hat jetzt jede große Marke mit Android Betriebsystem ein faltbares Gerät für die Konsumenten.

Google has joined the throng of foldable smartphones by launching the “Pixel Fold” – a sleek $1,800 premium product that looks set to give Samsung a run for its money.

As demand for foldable devices rapidly grows, likely to become the fastest-growing area in an otherwise shrinking smartphone market dominated by Samsung (79% market share), it begs the question: Where is the iPhone foldable?

Apple is believed to have been working on foldable screen technology for a few years but appears to be in no hurry to bring a product to market.

This is nothing new for Apple, which often takes its time and then enters an established sector with a better product than its rivals.

But the clock is ticking, and analysts believe Apple needs to bring a foldable iPhone to market by 2025 or risk missing out on a lucrative market worth tens of billions of dollars.
