Ukraine’s UJ-22 Airborne Drohne

May 4, 2023 - Video einer Drohne, die über der Kuppel des Senats in der ummauerten Kreml Zitadelle explodiert – dem Zentrum der russischen Macht – stellt die Effektivität der russischen Flugabwehr in Frage.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov accused the United States on Thursday of being behind what it claims was a drone attack intended to kill President Vladimir Putin.

Peskov made the allegation in a briefing to reporters, saying Washington should be aware that Russia knew it was selecting the targets and Ukraine was merely implementing U.S. plans.

“Attempts to disown this, both in Kyiv and in Washington, are, of course, absolutely ridiculous. We know very well that decisions about such actions, about such terrorist attacks, are made not in Kyiv but in Washington,” Peskov said.

Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev added it was time to “physically eliminate Zelenskiy and his clique.”

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy denied responsibility. “We don’t attack Putin or Moscow, we fight on our territory,” Zelenskiy told a press conference in Helsinki.

Some Western analysts said it might have been a “false flag” operation -- Moscow might have staged the incident to pin the blame on Kyiv and justify some crushing response.
