Russische Invasion: Situationsbericht Tag 355
February 13, 2023 -
Russland meldet ein Vordringen 2km in den Westen in vier Tagen, schwere Kämpfe um Kontrolle von Vuhledar und Mayinka, mit rund 50 Angriffen pro Tag laut Aussage der ukrainischen Kommandanten.
Russia also claims to have captured the village of Krasna Hora on the northern edge of Bakhmut, the strategically unimportant but symbolic town that has been the focus of Russian offensives for months. Ukraine says it has repelled a major offensive at Zaporizhya.
In a sign of infrastructure problems on the Russian side, Ukraine says that Russia is draining the ecologically important Kakhovka Reservoir, also vital for cooling Zaporizhya Nuclear Power Plant. According to satellite imagery, the reservoir has reached its lowest point in three decades. Meanwhile a 200km water pipeline is being built from Russia’s Rostov region on Ukraine’s eastern border to supply the whole of the Donbas region which has few natural resources and is dependent on large pipelines which have been damaged by years of war.
