Hochwasser, Schlammlawinen bedrohen Evakuierungen in Kalifornien
January 10, 2023 -
More than 100,000 people were still without power as of Monday afternoon and state officials said the death toll has risen from 12 to 14, according to the BBC.
The storms prompted the evacuation of some 25,000 people, including the entire town of Montecito and nearby areas of the Santa Barbara coast, due to heightened flood and mudslide risks, Reuters said.
