Rishi Sunak wird Britanniens neuer PM (1)

October 24, 2022 - Der frühere Kanzler im Finanzministerium Rishi Sunak will Britanniens Premier Minister werden, nachdem seine Rivalen Boris Johnson und Penny Mordaunt aus dem Rennen um den Posten ausgeschieden sind.

Sunak becomes the UK's first British Asian PM and at 42, the youngest in more than a century, according to the BBC.

The ex-chancellor gained the support of well over half of Conservative MPs, with Mordaunt struggling to reach the 100 MP threshold.
