In 2021 gab es wieder vier verschiedene Grand Slam Champions. Eine junge Generation von hoffnungsvollen Talenten -- inklusive US Open Finalist Emma Raducanu und Leylah Fernandez -- versprechen wieder ein spannendes Jahr. Der Terminplan bis Juni zeigt die ersten drei Grand Slams des Jahres - Australian Open, Roland Garros und Wimbledon - sowie fünf WTA 1000 Events.

Only the top eight players who collect the most ranking points over the calendar year will compete in the season-ending Shiseido WTA Finals.
Points that contribute to the WTA Finals Race ranking are accumulated in the Grand Slams, and the newly revamped WTA Tour (WTA Tour 1000 tournaments, WTA Tour 500, and WTA Tour 250).
Ranking points are awarded for each event -- ranging from 2,000 for the winner of a Grand Slam tournament to 280 for the winner of a International series event.
