Wichtiges Bergbau Projekt im Zentrum der Grönland Wahlen
April 6, 2021 -
The mining project, owned by Australian Greenland Minerals and Energy (GME), comprises three linked deposits -- Kvanefjeld, Zone 3 and Sørensen. GME has spent approximately US$60 million developing project, according to Johnson Matthey.
In total, the three deposits contain approximately 270,000 tonnes of uranium and 11 million tonnes of premium rare earth oxide concentrate.
International companies are watching the election closely as they compete for the right to develop Greenland’s untapped deposits of rare earth metals including neodymium, which is used in wind turbines, electric vehicles and combat aircraft, Reuters said.
