Bidens Auftritt bei seiner Angelobungsfeier

January 20, 2021 - Der designierte Präsident Joe Biden und die designierte Vizepräsidentin Kamala Harris werden den Amtseid vor dem US Capitol ablegen, umgeben von Prominenz und Rednern.

The 59th inauguration will include performances by singers Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez.

Andrea Hall, a career firefighter from Fulton County, Georgia, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and Amanda Gorman, the first National Youth Poet Laureate will recite a poem.

Father Leo O’Donovan will deliver the invocation and Reverend Dr. Silvester Beaman, the pastor at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Biden’s hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, will perform a benediction.

Biden and Harris will then speak to the nation via a 90-minute primetime TV show hosted by actor Tom Hanks and featuring performances by Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, Demi Lovato, and Ant Clemons.

This year, the inauguration will be a subdued affair due to the Covid-19 pandemic and ongoing security threats.
