Coronavirus in allen EU Staaten

March 13, 2020 - Das Coronavirus hat bereits alle 27 EU Staaten erobert, mehr als 29.850 Fälle der COVID-19 Krankheit sind in Europa bestätigt. Das SARS-CoV-2 Virus forderte bereits das Leben von 1.202 Menschen am Kontinent.

Italy, the second worst-hit country after China is under lockdown as the authorities fight to contain the virus. All shops and restaurants are closed, except for grocery stores and pharmacies. Schools and universities will remain closed until April 3.

France is now at stage two of its action plan, meaning the focus is on detecting cases and trying to stop the spread of the virus. President Emmanuel Macron has announced the shutdown of schools, universities and crèches from Monday until further notice.

The Spanish government closed parliament after several MPs tested positive. Spain’s regional governments have closed schools and universities -- a move affecting some 9.5 million students.

The German government has intensified border control checks. The western state of North Rhine-Westphalia has some schools. Lower Saxony in the northwest will close schools on Monday.

The Danish government on Wednesday urged hospitals and nursing homes to introduce stricter restrictions on visits with immediate effect. Schools are closed for two weeks starting March 13 at the latest.

The United Kingdom is currently at the “delay” phase of its action plan. The outbreak of the coronavirus has postponed fixtures in the Premier League, Champions League and Europa League among others.
