Tigerzählung in Indien ergibt 2.967 Tiere
Die Gesamtzahl von Tigern in Indien steht bei 2.967 Tieren, oder mehr als 70% aller weltweit frei lebenden Tiger, das ist das erfreuliche Ergebnis der Zählung des All India Tiger Estimation Reports für 2018.
The tiger count has increased at a rate of 6% per annum from 2006 to 2018. The results are crucial as India, along with 12 other tiger range countries, had committed to double the population of tigers in their respective states by 2022, as part of the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) programme.
