Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam where seedings do not follow the world rankings, instead taking into account players’ previous performances on grass. World number two Rafael Nadal has been seeded third this year behind top-ranked Novak Djokovic and world number three Roger Federer, with Kevin Anderson boosted four places to fourth seed.
Seeds set Djokovic -- recovering from a bruising defeat to Dominic Thiem at Roland Garros -- and eight-time winner Federer on course to meet in final. The pair have won 12 of last 16 titles, with Spaniard Rafael Nadal and Britain’s Andy Murray sharing other four.
