Die 2019 Copa America geht in Brasilien über die Bühne, die Matches werden in den Städten Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador und Sao Paulo ausgetragen. Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana Stadion sieht das Finale am 7. Juli.

The 2019 tournament sees the Copa América return to Brazil after 30 years. Chile have won the last two tournaments, overcoming Argentina on both occasions, and could become the first nation to win three successive titles since Argentina accomplished the feat in 1947.

Since 1993, the tournament has generally featured 12 teams – all 10 CONMEBOL teams plus two teams from other confederations. This year guest nations Japan and Qatar join Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela in the South American showpiece.
