Entdeckung geheimer nordkoreanischer Raketenbasis
January 22, 2019 - Forscher haben eine nicht-deklarierte Raketenbasis in Nordkorea entdeckt – es ist eine von rund 20 geheimen Anlagen – meldet das Zentrum für Strategische und Internationale Studien (CSIS).
The CSIS report focuses on the Sino-ri base, which serves as a missile headquarters and houses a regiment-sized unit equipped with Nodong-1 ballistic missiles, capable of targeting the Koreanpeninsula and most of Japan with “operational-level nuclear or conventional first strike capability”.
The discovery of the undeclared site comes just days after U.S. President Donald Trump said he “looks forward” to another summit to discuss denuclearisation with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in February.
CSIS, which first reported on the existence of 13 of the 20 secret missile bases in November 2018, said the Sino-ri base has never been declared by North Korea and therefore “does not appear to be the subject of denuclearisation negotiations.”
