July 16, 2013 - Car sales in Europe slumped to their lowest total in 20 years in the first half of 2013, with a 5.6% drop in June offering no relief for an industry battered by overcapacity and weak demand. European car sales have seen an almost uninterrupted fall for two years, due mainly to recession in the eurozone.
