Interactive Premier League guide 2019-20 with live results

06/25/2019
Graphic News

August 9, 2019-May 17, 2020 -- The English Premier League season gets underway. Champions League winners and 2018 Premier League runners-up, Liverpool, kick off their season at Anfield on Friday night against newly promoted Norwich City, while reigning champions, Manchester City, begin their quest for a third successive title away to West Ham United. Perennial rivals Manchester United and Chelsea start their campaigns with a heavyweight clash at Old Trafford, as Tottenham Hotspur host Aston Villa, fresh from their Championship play-off exploits. The last of the promoted teams, Sheffield United -- back in the Premier League for the first time since 2007 -- begin their season with a trip to Bournemouth.

Responsive interactive graphic shows fixtures, live results, league table, team details and matchtrackers of every match in the Premier League.

Matchtrackers show (before each match) historical head-to-head statistics, tactical line-ups, live scores, with live match statistics and key events in the match automatically updated.

Selection of the Fixture button (top right-hand side) shows the full fixture list. Matchtrackers can be selected via the fixture list or via the latest list on the front page.

EDITORS: This graphic can be configured to show a particular matchtracker by adding the MatchID to the embed code. MatchIDs are provided in the downloadable text file. For instructions on how to use embed code go to http://www.graphicnews.com/interactiveinfo

EDITORS: Publishers licensed to use this graphic may make a downloadable “web app” available to their readers. All the reader has to do on their mobile phone is bookmark the page the graphic is published on, and direct the bookmark to their home screen. The GN icon is then visible on their mobile phone so they just click on it whenever they want to see the latest results. And as the app is a bookmark, it is also a convenient link back to the publisher’s website to the corresponding editorial coverage. NEW GRAPHIC NEWS - a new website for a new era.

28 years ago — April 2, 1991 — the original Graphic News launched using a precursor to today’s websites that used email technology. These enabled infographics to be delivered electronically around the world over telephone lines. What was possible was very limited - It took 10 minutes for a 100K file to download.

Since then delivery speeds and website technology have moved on. The new website will offer the best online experience possible now, adding many new features (and offering new opportunities for the future), but still enabling existing users to select and download infographics and enjoy the distinct brand of visual journalism that is Graphic News.

Over the coming weeks I will give further information. Please contact me if you have any questions. Fiona Roberts, froberts @ graphicnews.com
