THE TEAM – Christopher Dinsdale

Visual journalist specialising in sport Chris joined in the summer of 2008, after obtaining a First Class honours degree in Graphic Communication at the University of Sunderland. On sending his portfolio of work to GN, the impressive standard of the work – the best designed graduate presentation Fiona had seen in 20 years – resulted in an offer of an internship. After a successful six months, in which he demonstrated that remote working can flourish in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, Chris was offered a permanent position at Graphic News.

Combining his love for sport with his position as graphic journalist, Chris now specialises in planning, researching and developing the majority of GN’s print-based sports infographics, including overseeing extensive tournament packages such as the FIFA World Cup. Avidly keen on telling the story behind the headline, he is passionate about producing graphics sports fans will engage with.

Chris now lives in the beautiful university city of Durham, where he continues to work from his countryside home. Outside design, Chris pursues his love of travelling (in particular exploring bustling cities), theatre and live sporting events.
