Graphic News – The Company – Location and Map

Graphic News Ltd is at: 8 Ely Place, London, EC1N 6RY, UK

  • BY TAXI: Ely Place is a private historic gated road close to Holborn Circus. If the taxi drops you off at the entrance, Number 8 is the second door on the left.

  • PARKING: As Ely Place is private there is parking but this is subject to availability. If you let us know when you plan to arrive we can let the man on the gate know in advance. Alternatively there are a couple of car parks nearby.

  • BY UNDERGROUND:
FROM FARRINGDON: Outside the underground* go right, then left into Farringdon Road, then right into Charterhouse Street going towards Holborn Circus. Ely Place is on the right just before the circus (big multiway junction). (*The exits from the station can change because of ongoing work associated with CrossRail - a major project linking East and West London due for completion in 2017 - and associated redevelopment around the station)
FROM CHANCERY LANE: High Holborn runs East-West. If you come out of Chancery Lane underground go east to Holborn Circus. This is a big 6-way junction. Going clockwise there is Hatton Garden (N-S) then Charterhouse Street (NE- SW). Take Charterhouse Street and Ely Place is on the left almost as soon as you enter the street.

  • FROM CITY AIRPORT: It takes about 30 minutes from City airport to Ely Place by underground.

21 days to go until NEW GRAPHIC NEWS - a new website for a new era.

28 years ago — April 2, 1991 — the original Graphic News launched using a precursor to today’s websites that used email technology. These enabled infographics to be delivered electronically around the world over telephone lines. What was possible was very limited - It took 10 minutes for a 100K file to download.

Since then delivery speeds and website technology have moved on. The new website will offer the best online experience possible now, adding many new features (and offering new opportunities for the future), but still enabling existing users to select and download infographics and enjoy the distinct brand of visual journalism that is Graphic News.

Over the coming days I will give further information. Please contact me if you have any questions. Fiona Roberts, froberts @ graphicnews.com
