Illustrator Jim Batsis joined the Graphic News team in 2007 specialising in photo-realistic illustration, particularly of automobilesAt college he learnt to draw on a PC with Corel Draw, but converted to Mac and Adobe Illustrator when he joined the Athens advertising agency BBDO. He taught himself how to produce digital artwork in a style comparable with traditional air-brush artwork. BBDO were amazed that such realistic artwork could be produced with Adobe Illustrator, and quickly recognized their value in advertising as an alternative to photographs.

Although Jim initially produced photorealistic car illustrations, his work has extended to include Formula 1 cars and helmets, Logos, Sports Stadia, Sport Trophies –anything that requires quality artwork.
