The flashy, hi-res graphics of launch title Mario Kart World, give an indication of the upgraded power of the Switch 2 game console but will they be enough to sway buyers to pay a high price for a machine that basically upgrades the old one, with little new wow factor?

Nintendo will be hoping it is, but it could see a slow uptake as the differences between old and new models are far harder to discern than the jump from the failed Wii U to Switch systems, back in 2017
