زلزال قوي يسفر عن مقتل العشرات في التبت

January 7, 2025 - لقي ما لا يقل عن 95 شخصاً مصرعهم بعد أن ضرب زلزال قوي سفوح جبال الهيمالايا الشمالية بالقرب من إحدى أبرز المدن البوذية في التبت. السكان في نيبال وبوتان وأجزاء من الهند شعروا أيضاً بالهزات الأرضية.

The quake hit at around 9:00 local time, with its epicentre located in Tingri, a rural county known as the northern gateway to the Everest region.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was centred in the Tibet region at a depth of about 10km (6 miles). It measured it the tremor at a magnitude 7.1, while China recorded it as 6.8.
