September 16, 2024 - المرشح الرئاسي الجمهوري دونالد ترامب في أمان بعد حادثة وصفها مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي بمحاولة اغتيال واضحة في ملعب ترامب للغولف في ويست بالم بيتش بولاية فلوريدا.

Secret Service agents fired on a gunman in bushes near the property line of the golf course after he was spotted a few hundred metres from where Trump was playing on Sunday, law enforcement officials said.

A person identified locally as Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was taken into custody after the car the suspect fled in was stopped 45-minutes away from the golf course.

The apparent attempt on Trump's life came just two months after he was grazed in the right ear when a gunman fired on him at a campaign rally. That shooter was killed in return fire by security agents.
