July 26, 2024 - August 11, 2024 - The 2024 summer Olympic Games, the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, take place in Paris, France, but the surfing events will be held on the Pacific island of Tahiti, a French overseas territory over 16,000km from Paris.

Surfing was introduced to the Olympics in Tokyo 2020. The Paris 2024 Olympic Games feature 32 sports encompassing 329 events – fewer than the preceding Tokyo Olympics, after Baseball, Softball and Karate were axed and some other events lost medal categories.
