July 26, 2024 - August 11, 2024 - The 2024 summer Olympic Games, the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, take place in Paris, France and the climbing events will be held at le Bourget Climbing Venue, one of only two purpose-built venues.

Using a combination of problem solving, strength and dexterity, athletes will compete in two medal events each for men and women. Speed climbing is a head-to-head elimination race on a 15-metre climbing wall, where every race has identical hand-holds in the same positions, meaning muscle memory is essential.

Meanwhile the Combined event sees athletes score points in the Bouldering - climbing without ropes - and Lead climbing disciplines, where problem solving and endurance are key attributes, with the highest combined total winning.
