July 26, 2024 - August 11, 2024 - The 2024 summer Olympic Games, the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, take place in Paris, France. Reigning world champion high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh of Ukraine is a leading contender for gold after breaking the 37-year-old women’s world record in July.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games feature 32 sports encompassing 329 events – fewer than the preceding Tokyo Olympics, after Baseball, Softball and Karate were axed and some other events lost medal categories.
