استخدام الكهرباء الخضراء يصل إلى مستوى قياسي
May 9, 2024 - According to data from energy think-tank Ember, renewable energy sources now provide 30% of global electricity supplies, thanks in part to solar energy farms which are becoming cheaper to build.
The share of global electricity supplied by renewable energy sources rose to a record 30.25% in 2023, as the growth of wind and solar power continues to far exceed that of fossil fuels.
Energy think-tank Ember believes the trend will accelerate in 2024, as growth in the clean-power sector continues while that of fossil fuels declines.
The rise in renewables is driven in part by an increase in the number of solar farms being built, the cost of which is plummeting thanks to aggressive cost-cutting by Chinese manufacturers.
