Europe’s new UEFA Champions League season kicks off, with key fixtures including defending champions Real Madrid, with €80m summer signing Aurélien Tchouameni, taking on Celtic, PSG hosting a heavyweight clash with Juventus, and Manchester City travelling to Sevilla. The final will be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, Istanbul, Turkey on June 10, 2023.

The 2022-23 UEFA Champions League is the 31st season of Europe’s primary club football tournament.

Real Madrid are defending champions having defeated Liverpool in the 2022 final. Victory for the La Liga heavyweights extended their record as the most successful club in European Cup history, with 14 titles, ahead of AC Milan (7), Bayern Munich (6) and Liverpool (6).

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
