Liverpool and Real Madrid contest sixth Anglo-Spanish final

May 28, 2022 - Liverpool and Real Madrid clash in the UEFA Champions League final in Paris -- the first time two teams have played each other in three European Cup finals. Both teams have one win apiece

The 2021-22 UEFA Champions League is the 30th season of Europe’s primary club football tournament.

Real Madrid are the most successful club in European Cup history, with 13 titles, ahead of AC Milan (7), Bayern Munich (6) and Liverpool (6).

The UEFA Champions League is contested by the highest ranked teams of the strongest UEFA national associations. It is the top club competition in European football and one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world. The Champions League final is the most watched annual sporting event worldwide.
