حرب أوكرانيا تسبب نقص في الغذاء بأفريقيا

By Phil Bainbridge

May 9, 2022 - A UN assessment shows that as many as 25 African countries import more than one third of their wheat from Ukraine and Russia, and 15 of them import over half.

As wheat prices have soared, increasing by over 40% since the start of the year, African food producers are turning to cheaper alternatives to Black Sea wheat, mixing in flour from rice, corn, lentils, cassava and sorghum for their bread, pasta and pastries.
