أجندة بايدن الفورية المتعلقة بالمناخ

November 9, 2020 - U.S. President-elect Joe Biden is promising to create a carbon neutral economy by 2050, reversing many of Donald Trump’s executive orders.

Joe Biden is to oversee sweeping measures to make the U.S. economy carbon neutral by 2050, in an attempt to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

The agenda to reverse about 80 climate roll-backs initiated by President Trump, will likely begin by rejoining the 2015 Paris Agreement which the U.S. officially exited the day after the election. The United States is now the only country in the world refusing to participate in global climate efforts.

From then on, Biden's tasks will become increasingly complex as his administration attempts to regulate greenhouse gas emissions down towards a goal of net-zero.
