October 3, 2020 - October 25, 2020 - The 2020 edition of the Giro d’Italia was originally due to start in Hungary in May but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The rescheduled race will start with four stages in Sicily, beginning with a 15km individual time trial from Monreale to Palermo on October 3.

Nineteen UCI World Tour teams are automatically invited to take part with an additional three ”wild-card” UCI Pro Continental teams also participating.
