سوني تكشف عن جهاز بلايستيشن ٥
June 12, 2020 - Sony has finally taken the drapes off its PlayStation 5 video games console at the end of a one-hour games showcase video presentation.
Sony has offered a first look at the design of its next generation games console, as well as some of the titles it will play, during a prerecorded video presentation.
The PlayStation 5 has a black core surrounded by curved white edging, and a blue glow. It will come in two versions, one with a 4K Blu-ray Disc drive and the other, a "Digital Edition" with the disk drive removed – meaning the latter will be unable to play shop-bought games and rely solely on downloaded software.
During the presentation, more than 20 new games were showcased, including Horizon: Forbidden West (a sequel to the PS4 hit, Horizon: Zero Dawn) and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart (the follow up to the PS4 reboot of a PS1 game).
The PlayStation 5 will go on sale in the autumn, seven years after the PS4. As well as delivering improved visuals, the new machine has a customised solid state hard drive that will make it possible to radically reduce loading times. It is unknown if there may be different capacity drives available at launch.
