January 27, 2020 - Retired NBA star Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, 13, and seven others died as they flew to a coaching session at Bryant’s sports academy.

Retired NBA player Kobe Bryant was among nine people travelling onboard a Sikorsky S-76B helicopter in the Los Angeles area when it crashed into a remote hillside north of Malibu on Sunday morning.

All nine people died in the crash, including the pilot and Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna.
