هاميلتون يفوز في بطولة العالم للمرة السادسة

By Chris Dinsdale

November 4, 2019 - Lewis Hamilton’s second-place finish in the United States Grand Prix secured his sixth Formula 1 title, moving the British driver to within one championship of all-time record-holder Michael Schumacher.

Hamilton made his debut for McLaren in 2007, aged 22, finishing third in Melbourne, Australia, and sealing his first F1 title one year later to become the youngest ever World Champion -- a record eclipsed by Sebastian Vettel in 2010.

Hamilton’s total of 83 race victories -- including 10 so far in 2019 -- is second only to Schumacher’s 91, and he has indicated he has no intention of stopping for now.

Hamilton is part of a select club of only five drivers with four or more titles, comprising four-time winners Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost, five-time champion Juan Manuel Fangio and record holder Michael Schumacher with seven championships.

Remaining races:
November 17, 2019 - Brazilian Grand Prix
December 1, 2019 - Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
