٧٠ عامًا على تأسيس جمهورية الصين الشعبية
October 1, 2019 - Chinese President Xi Jinping will oversee a massive military parade through central Beijing on October 1 to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Since Mao Zedong proclaimed the founding of the People’s Republic in October 1949, China has emerged as the world’s second-largest economy.
Xi has made national renewal a central theme of his administration, wanting the country to become a respected member of the international community.
However, critics, including many Western politicians, say Xi’s campaign has come at the expense of a crackdown on civil rights. China’s government is holding up to one million ethnic Muslim Uighurs in re-education camps in the far western region of Xinjiang.
In 2015, China became the top nation in terms of manufacturing output, generating $2,010 billion, according to a global manufacturing scorecard by The Brookings Institution.
